A kindergarten where children settle in safely – and truly thrive

At our private Acton kindergarten, we support your child in developing self-confidence, cooperation, and creative exploration – playfully and at their own pace.

Concept · Daily Routine · Start 2026

Some children simply need more time to settle in

At the beginning, many children need one thing above all: a sense of security. New routines, new faces, and so many impressions first have to become familiar. When everything still feels unfamiliar, children often show it quietly – through withdrawal, tension, or tiredness.

Kindergarten should feel like a place where trust can grow.

With us, relationship comes first – then discovery

Dedicated caregivers

Children build trust and are truly known.

Rituals & clear structure provide stability

Recurring routines create security and independence.

Nature & farm days on our own farm

Being outdoors and moving helps children regulate, strengthens motor skills, and clears the mind.

Age-appropriate support in everyday life

Language, social skills, creativity – playful, without pressure.

Your child’s hero’s journey begins here

With security, sensory experience, and a real connection to nature, we create the foundation for strong personalities.

Taking on a challenges

Every hero’s journey begins with a task. Children face small projects or social situations and learn to stick with them and find solutions.

Making own decisions

Children choose activities, help design projects, and take on responsibility in the studio. They experience: My decision matters and has an impact.

Growing in community

In council circles and in everyday life, children learn to listen, reflect on conflicts, and take responsibility for the group.

Making growth visible

Through presentations, small exhibitions, and feedback, children consciously experience their progress and gain confidence in their own abilities.

A start that strengthens children – and relieves parents

Settling in happens gently, individually, and is attachment-oriented – at your child’s pace. With clear expectations, stable caregivers, and honest communication.

Gradual separation

Start with parental accompaniment, then gradual separation

How we specifically support children

Our kindergarten prepares children purposefully and age-appropriately for the transition to primary school – whether at Acton Academy or within the public school system. Our program is based on the Cantonal Curriculum 21 and at the same time includes space for independent projects, nature days, and philosophical conversations.

  • Language & expression
Expanding vocabulary, storytelling, and developing early phonological awareness.

  • Basic mathematical understanding
Recognizing quantities, understanding number concepts, and identifying patterns and logical connections.

  • Self-organization
Taking care of materials, planning tasks, and following through with work periods.

  • Social & emotional competence
Resolving conflicts, coping with frustration, taking responsibility – and living values such as courage, perseverance, and gratitude in everyday life.

Transitions that provide security

Daycare → Kindergarten

We accompany the separation consciously – with clear steps, trust, and individual support. Parents share knowledge, we build on it.

Kindergarten → School

The transition to school is prepared – without pressure: children gain self-confidence, structure, and joy in learning.

Accompanying your child’s development together

In kindergarten, parents are kept regularly informed via digital daily updates and direct handovers. Learning processes are documented in individual portfolios.

Development meetings take place once or twice a year. The transition to primary school is prepared early and accompanied in close coordination with the parents.
